I've been trying to find a solution for the missing floorboard mounts on my panhead so i had to get creative and make something that is going to work. I had this welding foot pedal that i got from an old timer. My idead is to slim it down a bit and modify it to function as a floor board/ rocker brake pedal that pivots instead of a swing pedal used stock.
I had the machinist at my work, bore a piece of aluminum stock and press fit bushings from ace hardware inside... it came out good, so i TIG welded it on. I talked to my old high school shop teacher about casting a pedal for the left side... he was down to help, so im going to pay one of his students to make me another one!
My dad got bit by an ongoing project.. a 1970 el camino ss 396. Apparently you bleed alot when you puncture a vain in your arm with a stainless steel hose clamp.
This is a repair I did for the firewall on my dad's 1932 ford sedan "The Ebony Mistress" as he refers to it. The car will be a show car when done... boy we've got a long way...
This is my 1953 harley panhead that i've been working on for a while now, its loosely built in 60's style. As the days progress it nears completion and I anticipate firing this pan up for the first time and shaking it down.
